Middle School Group

It happened. The middle School Youth Group started on Wednesday night, April 1. We started with a meal at 5:30, Emergent worship at 6:30, and some fun and sharing of who we are at 7:00.

12 youth and 2 adults discussed what we might like to do the rest of this school year and into the summer. Here are the ideas that were shared:

Road Trip
Karoke in the Park
Help someone in the community
Campout @ the Church
Homeless Night
Lock-in
Go Fishing
Paint
Read Bible verses related to sports and do a sport
Scavenger Hunt
Go Boating
Go Swimming
Have a discussion regarding issues for Middleschoolers
Make a movie/interview people

Check out Youth Group this next week. Potato Bar for a meal. Stuffed.

Youth Group to Lead Worship

On April 19th, the Sunday after Easter,

the youth of the church will be leading worship at both services. Wes Demmon, senior high youth worker, is the contact person.

Help with the celebration and glorify God!

Challenge To All Youth

Alleviating Hunger
It's In The Bag!

Here is a challenge to all of the youth of the DeWitt United Methodist Church:

1) Stop by the church.
2) Get a specially marked grocery bag you will find by the office. Add the words "Youth Group."
3) Take it to the grocery store of your choice.
4) Fill it with non-perishable items.
5) Return it to the church.

Your food gift will help feed hungry people in DeWitt.

See if you can provide more food than the adults of the church.

Middle School Youth Group To Start

Finally! A Middle School Youth Group is starting. What better day to start than April Fool's Day.

Wednesday, April 1 at 6:30 will be the start of the new Middle School Youth Group. Come for the meal at 5:30, then we will gather at the back of the sanctuary for a time of "emerging worship," followed by games and other fun.

Pastor Chuck will be leading the group...
with the help of parent volunteers.
